City council authorizes TAP to acquire vacant properties for affordable housing

(RECAP: Roanoke City Council voted Monday evening to authorize TAP to function as a land bank for the city. Land backs are able to help a locality with addressing vacant, abandoned, or tax-delinquent properties. TAP plans to work with other non-profits, such as Habitat for Humanity and Renovation Alliance, to help fix vacant properties throughout Roanoke.)
